Director of Education and Quality (RN) Aston Health Tampa, FL Job Details Full-time $130,000 - $140,000 a year 15 hours ago Qualifications Nursing department supervision RN License Clinical team leadership Full Job Description Director of Education and Quality We are seeking an experienced Director of Education and Quality to provide clinical education, quality oversight, and operational support across approximately 21 skilled nursing facilities . This is a highly visible, field-based leadership role responsible for supporting facility teams, strengthening clinical practices, identifying areas of risk, and ensuring education and quality initiatives are consistently implemented across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide education and quality oversight across approximately 21 facilities Partner with facility and regional leadership to identify clinical, educational, and quality improvement needs Develop, implement, and monitor clinical education programs, competencies, and ongoing training initiatives Support facilities with survey readiness, plans of correction, quality improvement initiatives, and regulatory compliance Review clinical trends, audits, quality measures, incidents, and other performance indicators to identify opportunities for improvement Conduct facility visits, observations, audits, and focused education based on identified needs Provide coaching and support to Directors of Nursing, Staff Development/Clinical Education teams, and other nursing leadership Assist with standardization of clinical practices, policies, education, and processes across the organization Collaborate with regional and corporate leadership on clinical initiatives and performance improvement plans Support facilities requiring additional education or intervention following surveys, incidents, changes in leadership, or identified performance concerns Track progress and follow through on corrective actions to ensure improvements are sustained Serve as a clinical resource and subject matter expert for facility and regional teams
Qualifications:
Active Registered Nurse license required Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred Minimum of 5 years of nursing leadership experience, preferably within skilled nursing or long-term care Prior experience in clinical education, quality assurance/performance improvement, regulatory compliance, or multi-site clinical operations strongly preferred Strong knowledge of CMS regulations, survey processes, clinical standards, and long-term care operations Proven ability to educate, coach, and influence clinical leadership at multiple levels Strong organizational, communication, analytical, and follow-up skills Ability to work independently while managing competing priorities across multiple locations Comfortable reviewing clinical data and translating findings into practical improvement plans
Travel Requirement:
This is a field-based position requiring approximately 80% travel to assigned facilities. Candidates must be comfortable with frequent travel and maintaining a consistent presence within the facilities they support.

We are looking for someone who is hands-on, proactive, and comfortable working directly with facility teams. The right candidate will not simply identify opportunities for improvement, but will work alongside leadership to provide education, implement solutions, and ensure changes are carried through.
