In this vital role, you will oversee patient care operations, ensure compliance with healthcare standards, and foster a collaborative environment that promotes excellent patient outcomes. Your leadership will inspire confidence among staff and patients alike, driving continuous improvement in care delivery across diverse clinical settings. This position offers an exciting opportunity to utilize your extensive nursing expertise and management skills to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents and patients. Duties Supervise and coordinate nursing staff during evening hours, ensuring high-quality patient care aligned with facility policies and healthcare regulations Oversee patient assessments, vital signs, medication administration, and documentation using electronic health record (EHR) systems. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient medical records and sensitive information Facilitate communication between interdisciplinary teams including physicians, therapists, case managers, and support staff to optimize patient outcomes Monitor clinical procedures such as IV infusions, catheterizations, wound care, tube feeding, and ventilator management while ensuring aseptic techniques are followed Conduct regular audits of medical documentation for accuracy and completeness; utilize
ICD-9/ICD-10
coding for billing purposes when applicable Lead incident investigations related to patient safety events or clinical concerns; implement corrective actions as needed Provide mentorship and supervision to nursing staff, fostering professional development and adherence to standards for quality care Experience Proven supervisory experience in a healthcare setting with demonstrated leadership in managing nursing teams Strong background in acute care, medical-surgical units, geriatrics, behavioral health or long-term care facilities such as assisted living or nursing homes Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems; experience with medical imaging, laboratory processing, and diagnostic evaluation is advantageous Hands-on experience with medication administration techniques including injections, phlebotomy, venipuncture, sterile processing and catheter care Understanding of physiology principles relevant to patient assessment and emergency airway management; CPR/BLS certification required Excellent communication skills combined with a strong commitment to patient safety and team collaboration This role is ideal for a motivated nurse leader eager to impact patient lives positively while advancing their management career.
