Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Registered Nurse Supervisor to lead our nursing team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive clinical expertise, exceptional leadership abilities, and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care across various medical settings. This role involves overseeing nursing operations, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and fostering a collaborative environment that promotes professional growth. Duties Supervise and coordinate nursing staff to ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and compassionate patient care in accordance with hospital policies and healthcare standards. Oversee daily clinical operations, including patient assessments, medication administration, and documentation within electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations, state healthcare laws, and long-term care regulations while maintaining high standards of patient confidentiality and safety. Manage staffing schedules, conduct performance evaluations, and facilitate ongoing training to promote team development and retention. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans for patients with complex needs such as dementia care, behavioral health issues, or critical & intensive care cases. Lead quality assurance initiatives including infection control protocols, medical documentation accuracy, and adherence to nursing policy compliance. Participate in discharge planning, utilization review, and case management activities to optimize patient outcomes and resource utilization. Requirements Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license with current state licensure. Extensive clinical experience in critical care environments such as ICU or Level I Trauma Centers; experience in emergency medicine or hospital medicine is highly desirable. Proven supervisory or nurse management experience leading multidisciplinary teams within long-term care or acute care settings. Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth; familiarity with

ICD-9/ICD-10

coding and medical documentation standards. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and diagnostic evaluation techniques. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities; knowledge of dementia care and memory support strategies preferred. Excellent managerial communication skills combined with the ability to motivate staff and foster a positive team environment. Competence in IV insertion, catheterization, sterile technique, specimen collection/processing, and basic life support (BLS). Familiarity with hospital policies on infection control, medication administration protocols including CPT coding for procedures like suturing or gastric lavage. Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively while ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements such as NCQA standards and long-term care regulations.
