Duties Provide direct supervision of nursing staff during the 2nd shift, ensuring efficient workflow and high standards of patient care. Coordinate patient assessments, vital signs monitoring, and medical documentation using electronic health records (EHR) systems. Oversee medication administration. Assist with complex clinical procedures such as catheterization, and wound care. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans, including dementia care, Alzheimer's care, and memory care strategies. Ensure compliance with long-term care regulations, infection control policies, and safety standards across all nursing activities. Support staff development through coaching on clinical best practices, triage procedures, and emergency response protocols like CPR or first aid. Skills Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems Strong knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), and diagnostic evaluation processes. Demonstrated expertise in critical care procedures such as airway management, specimen collection, phlebotomy, and sterile processing techniques. Experience working with diverse patient populations including geriatric patients requiring geriatrics or memory care services. Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining clinical accuracy in areas like pain management and acute pain assessment. Excellent communication skills for caregiver interaction, client communication, and team collaboration within a fast-paced healthcare setting.
