Join TriStar Health as an Orthopedics Nurse Manager in our Healthcare & Medical Services department. Lead an orthopedic nursing team delivering high-quality postoperative and trauma care while ensuring patient safety, evidence-based practice, and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities include staffing, scheduling, performance coaching, and coordinating interdisciplinary care for orthopedic surgery patients. You will oversee quality metrics, implement process improvements, manage budgets, and support staff development. Responsibilities Oversee daily operations of the orthopedic nursing unit, ensuring safe, high-quality patient care Supervise, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff; provide coaching and performance feedback Develop and manage staffing plans, schedules, and resource allocation for the unit Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and hospital policies and procedures Monitor and improve key quality, safety, and patient satisfaction metrics Collaborate with surgeons, therapists, and other disciplines to coordinate orthopedic care plans Support onboarding, training, and professional development for nursing staff Participate in budgeting, supply management, and operational planning for the department Lead and support evidence-based practice initiatives and process improvement projects Foster a culture of compassion, teamwork, and continuous improvement on the unit Required Skills Orthopedic postoperative nursing care Wound care and neurovascular assessment Pain management and PCA/epidural monitoring Care of patients with casts, traction, and external fixation Clinical leadership and staff supervision Staff scheduling and workload management Electronic health record (EHR) documentation Quality improvement and performance metrics Infection prevention and control Interdisciplinary care coordination
