Job Description

Nursing Supervisor Provides supervisory leadership and clinical support to assigned unit(s). Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates the delivery of nursing care in the department. Serves as a representative of the department and is a liaison to other departments and individuals. Responsible for promoting a work environment that is conducive to quality patient care and personal job satisfaction. Makes decisions within the framework of the organization philosophies, policies, and procedures. Oversees performance improvement initiatives for the assigned unit. Minimum Qualifications Three years of experience as a staff nurse with demonstrated leadership skills required. Previous supervisory experience preferred. Completion of a Nursing Degree program required. Bachelor's degree preferred. Kentucky RN license (OR) RN license in a State recognized by the Kentucky Nurse Licensure Compact Act required effective June 1, 2007.
