This position will support the Resident Care Director (RCD) to oversee the Resident Services department and the overall quality of resident care. In the absence of the community RCD the position holder supervises, analyzes and delegates tasks to the Assisted Living care team. This is a salaried position and schedule flexibility to meet the demands of the position is essential.
Primary Responsibilities:
Review the timesheets to ensure all staff were present, took lunches, and no errors with punches from previous shifts, and adjust as necessary. Track attendance/tardiness. Complete appropriate LJ disciplinary action forms and give to DON to review with staff member. Assist staff with escorting residents to activities as needed. Monitor residents in Assisted Living during 3:00 pm shift change. Document daily log of assistance. Respect and encourage the independence and dignity of the residents. Respect residents' confidentiality. Maintain and live the culture of Aviva Senior Living. Gather supply sheets from nurses' stations, fill out "Inventory Charged to Residents" form, and turn it into Business Office Director. Order supplies as needed, ensuring supplies are charged to the appropriate department or resident Monitor for overtime and personnel staffing cost and make necessary adjustments. Assist Health and Wellness Director with care conference meeting calendar. Assist Health and Wellness Director with tracking team member evaluations and training compliance tracking (both training and licensure expirations). Cover the front desk for concierge lunchtimes, breaks as needed. Provide assistance as needed with medication reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing, escort service, and other activities of daily living. Lead the recruitment process and partake in the selection of qualified candidates confirming their certificates in conjunction with the Business Office Director and Health and Wellness Director. Provide support with onboarding, training, and ongoing competency evaluations Demonstrates competency with Yardi EHR and EMR systems and provides support to department and other department leaders to maintain electronic documentation compliance per company standards. Update the list of residents and photo spreadsheet. Ensure the new resident welcome process is completed (signage and schedules). Regular and predictable attendance Qualifications, skills, and abilities: High school diploma or equivalent (GED) prefer advanced education Licensed Practical Nurse licensed to practice in Massachusetts Minimum of two years of related work experience.
