Pay Rate:
$59
  • $63 / hour, depending on years of experience.
Centurion is proud to be the provider of comprehensive services to the Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services. We are currently seeking a Full-time Day Charge RN (ed Nurse) to join our substance use disorder (SUD) team at Maryland Correctional Institution in Hagerstown, Maryland
  • -The Charge RN (SUD program) is responsible for providing supervision of nursing and support staff on assigned shift in correctional setting.
Additional responsibilities include providing direct and indirect nursing care to patients. The Charge RN works under the direction of the Director of Nursing and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to identify and respond to a wide range of physical and mental health needs.
  • Must hold valid ed Nurse (RN) license in Maryland; BSN preferred but not required
  • Over two years of experience working in a community or correctional based substance abuse clinic
  • Must show/obtain current Purified Protein Derivative (PPD) documentation for tuberculosis screening
  • Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/ BLS
  • Prior experience providing nursing care and working with a high degree of autonomy required
  • Prior experience in supervising nursing staff preferred
  • Experience working in a correctional environment preferred
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
