Job Summary Autumn lake Healthcare at Cherry Lane is looking for a qualified RN nursing unit manager to oversee patients and manage the nursing team in our facility. Our ideal candidate has solid experience as a registered nurse and is able to handle stressful situations. This position requires team management skills and a problem-solving attitude. Further training in management or administration would be a bonus. Ultimately, you should be able to ensure smooth nursing operation at our facility through day-to-day management and long term planning. Duties Supervise nursing staff, providing guidance, support, and performance evaluations. Ensure adherence to established protocols and standards of care within the unit or facility. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective discharge planning for patients. Oversee patient care activities in critical care settings, including Level II trauma center operations. Manage acute pain management strategies for patients, ensuring appropriate interventions are in place. Facilitate health coaching initiatives to promote wellness and recovery among patients. Maintain accurate documentation in electronic health records systems such as Cerner. Provide specialized care for patients with dementia and those requiring assisted living services. Coordinate home care services as needed to support patient transitions from hospital to home environments. Etc. Job Requirements Active Registered Nurse licensure without disciplinary infractions by Maryland Board of Nursing. BSN desired 1-2 years of management experience. Knowledge and proficiency with COMAR, OHCQ and CMS guidelines a plus. Short term and long term experience preferred
