Job Description

Piper Shores is Maine's premier nonprofit continuing care retirement community, offering Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Skilled Nursing Care for our residents with a person-centered approach to care. RNs/LPNs serve in our 40 bed Skilled Nursing (Nursing Home), which is top-rated by the Us News & World Report and is a nationally recognized 5-star facility by CMS. We offer excellent staff to resident ratios and a clean, safe, and friendly work environment.
Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 6a-2p
Responsibilities:
Provides compassionate care to residents in the Skilled Nursing (Nursing Home) neighborhood Responds to emergency calls and provides care as needed Communicates changes to resident health or vitals with DON and/or Physician Serves as a positive role model for C.N.A. and other clinical staff members Completes required documentation and ensures compliance with CMS, CDC and Piper Shores standards of care.
Qualifications:
Current RN or LPN license in Maine CPR certification or ability to become certified Experience in Assisted Living or Long-Term Care facility preferred. Familiarity with dementia behaviors and ability to effectively communicate with individuals experiencing dementia. Warm and friendly demeanor with a positive approach to interacting with Seniors and co-workers Ability to stand and move for extended period of time, ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently required.
