About the
Role:
The LPN Charge Nurse plays a pivotal leadership role within the healthcare team at CCMCF, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care in a dynamic clinical environment. This position is responsible for overseeing nursing staff, coordinating patient care activities, and serving as a critical liaison between nursing personnel, physicians, and other healthcare professionals. The Charge Nurse ensures compliance with healthcare regulations and institutional policies while fostering a safe and supportive environment for both patients and staff. By managing resources effectively and addressing any clinical or operational issues promptly, the Charge Nurse contributes to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the healthcare unit. Ultimately, this role is essential in maintaining continuity of care, promoting best practices, and enhancing patient outcomes through strong leadership and clinical expertise.
LPN Qualifications:
Current and valid Licensed Practical Nurse ( LPN) license in Michigan.

Previous experience in nursing or other medical fields is a plus, but not required.

Demonstrated leadership or charge nurse experience is highly desirable.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Strong knowledge of nursing principles, patient care standards, and healthcare regulations.
LPN Responsibilities:
Responsible for the treatment of assigned residents.

Supervise and coordinate nursing activities to ensure optimal patient care and staff performance.

Monitor patient conditions and intervene as necessary to address changes or emergencies.

Serve as a resource and mentor to nursing staff, providing guidance and support in clinical decision-making.

Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.

Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Conduct shift reports and facilitate effective communication during handoffs.

Participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff education programs.

Maintain accurate resident medical records using an electronic medical record.
