We are looking for someone who has a genuine passion for plants, enjoys working outdoors, and understands that working in a Garden Center/Nursery requires a hands-on, whatever-needs-to-be-done attitude . The ideal candidate is positive, hardworking, dependable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment. This is an active outdoor position, and the successful candidate must be comfortable working in a variety of weather conditions, including extreme heat, humidity, and light rain . Position Responsibilities Assist the Nursery Manager with the daily operation and organization of the outdoor nursery. Provide knowledgeable and friendly customer service. Assist customers with plant, tree, shrub, and perennial selections. Maintain strong plant knowledge and help customers select plants appropriate for their needs and growing conditions. Water, maintain, organize, and care for nursery inventory. Monitor plants for health, pests, disease, watering needs, and overall condition. Assist with receiving, unloading, moving, and organizing plant material. Assist with inventory counts and maintaining accurate inventory. Help maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas. Help coordinate daily tasks and provide direction to nursery team members when needed. Lead by example and maintain a positive, team-oriented work environment. Communicate inventory, customer, staffing, and maintenance concerns to management. Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and operational guidelines. Perform other duties as assigned.
