Plans, organizes, and directs staff and operations, with 24-hour accountability for nursing care and patient outcomes. Supervises preoperative, perioperative, and postoperative care, schedules surgeries and staff, and manages equipment and supplies. Participates in committees, quality improvement, and policy development, ensuring adherence to safety and infection control standards. Conducts staff evaluations, orientations, and competency reviews, and manages personnel and budget considerations. Ensures staff training in emergency procedures and maintains documentation for compliance.
