A Manager of Emergency Department Nursing is needed at a 285+ bed Level II Trauma Center and accredited Chest Pain Center in Independence, MO. The hospital also houses a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, an accredited Cancer Program and Breast Center, and a dedicated Stroke Center, serving the greater Kansas City area. The role. Reporting within hospital nursing leadership, the Emergency Department Clinical Manager provides direct oversight of clinical, financial, environmental, and human resources functions for the ED service area. The manager serves as a professional role model and clinical resource, acting as a liaison with the medical staff while integrating department services with broader hospital operations. Core responsibilities include developing, implementing, and evaluating department policies and procedures that define scope of service; maintaining department operations within budgetary boundaries; and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. The manager also leads the full employee lifecycle — recruiting, hiring, orienting, providing ongoing education, conducting annual evaluations, and overseeing disciplinary processes up to and including termination. What we're looking for.

Associate Degree, or Registered Nurse Diploma(RN) Registered NurseWill look at 2 years of Recent (Within the last year) Acute Care ED Charge RN with strong ED experienceBasic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start dateAdvanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 90 days of employment start dateEmergency Nurse Pediatric Course must be obtained within 1 year of employment start dateTrauma Nursing Core Course must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date

Schedule.

Evenings:

2pm-midnight, Monday-Thursday, with call rotating every three weeks. Compensation. $53.12 - $53.12/hr plus $25,000 sign-on bonus
