Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate RN (Registered Nurse) or LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) charge nurse to lead and coordinate patient care within our healthcare facility. This pivotal role involves overseeing nursing staff, ensuring compliance with clinical standards, and delivering exceptional patient-centered care. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in geriatrics, mental health and specialized treatments such as dementia care, wound vacs, tracheostomies and tube feedings . Your energetic leadership will foster a collaborative environment that promotes safety, efficiency, and high-quality outcomes for diverse patient populations. Duties Supervise daily nursing operations, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and regulatory standards such as HIPAA and OSHA guidelines. Coordinate patient assessments, vital signs monitoring, and comprehensive physical examinations using advanced EMR/EHR system, PCC . Administer medications, injections, IV infusions, and perform aseptic techniques with precision to ensure patient safety. Oversee complex procedures including catheterizations, suturing, tube feeding management, and ostomy care. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop discharge plans, coordinate home & community care services, and facilitate case management for long-term or post-acute care patients. Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations; ensure proper ICD coding (ICD-9 & ICD-10) for billing and reporting purposes. Provide mentorship to nursing staff on specialized areas including hospice & palliative medicine, behavioral health, geriatrics, infectious disease care, and trauma medicine. Support laboratory specimen collection/processing and laboratory experience to aid diagnostic evaluation. Qualifications Valid RN or LPN license with current state licensure; additional certifications preferred in ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) Experience managing diverse patient populations including geriatrics (memory & dementia care), individuals with disabilities or developmental delays. Pay:
