Assistant Nurse Manager - General Medicine LiveWell Homecare Agency St. Louis, MO Job Details Full-time 15 hours ago Qualifications RN License Patient care Care coordination General management Hospital experience Full Job Description Role Overview This position offers a leadership opportunity supporting the Gen Med I (GI) and Gen Med II (Renal/Endocrine) areas at a top-ranked children's hospital. It is a full-time, benefits-eligible role with an offshift schedule, including evenings and nights, and involves participation in an admin call-rotation covering nights, weekends, and holidays. Responsibilities Manage staff by hiring, training, assigning work, evaluating performance, and supporting professional development. Contribute to departmental staffing, budget, and operational goals, ensuring productivity and quality patient care. Oversee patient care planning, documentation, and implementation based on assessments and diagnoses. Coordinate staff scheduling, payroll, and communication; conduct performance reviews and address disciplinary actions. Ensure staff productivity aligns with departmental objectives and support staff development. Qualifications & Skills Minimum of an RN license with a Nursing Diploma/Associate's degree; BSN preferred. 2-5 years of hospital RN experience; 5-10 years preferred. Leadership experience, including supervision, is desirable.
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in Nursing and supervisory experience of at least 2 years. This role requires strong management skills, clinical expertise, and the ability to coordinate patient care and team performance effectively.
