Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse III (RN Unit Manager) to oversee the 11a-7p shift in our long-term care facility serving veterans. This leadership role involves managing nursing staff, ensuring high-quality patient care, and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations. The ideal candidate will have substantial long-term care experience, particularly within veteran healthcare settings, and possess strong organizational and communication skills to support a compassionate and efficient care environment. Responsibilities Lead and coordinate nursing operations during the 11a-7p shift, ensuring smooth daily workflow and patient safety. Supervise and support nursing staff, including delegation of tasks, performance evaluations, and fostering professional development. Oversee the delivery of comprehensive long-term care services tailored to the needs of veteran residents. Ensure compliance with all applicable healthcare regulations, policies, and standards related to long-term care. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and update individualized care plans for residents. Monitor resident health status, respond to urgent needs promptly, and facilitate effective communication with families and healthcare providers. Maintain accurate documentation of resident care activities, incidents, and regulatory reports. Promote a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for both residents and staff. Qualifications Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing. Extensive experience in long-term care settings, preferably working with veterans. Proven leadership skills with prior experience managing nursing teams or units. Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations governing long-term care facilities. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work effectively during the 11a-7p shift while managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. Pay:
From $68,479.15 per year
