Administrative Hours Salary Range:

USD $90,000 - $125,000 (based on years of experience) Role Overview Lead daily operations for a Cardiovascular Progressive Care Unit (CPCU) and ensure efficient, effective, safe, and compassionate nursing care aligned with current standards of practice. This role integrates clinical, human resource, and financial information to drive decision-making, supports evidence-based practice and research integration, and ensures compliance with regulatory and professional standards. Unit Details 40-bed Cardiovascular Progressive Care Unit Co-manage a team of approximately 56 employees

On-call:

1x every 6 weeks (administrative call) Key Responsibilities Provide leadership through supervision, facilitation, and coordination of clinical care. Collaborate with nursing leadership on planning, innovation, and evaluation of initiatives. Allocate staffing and resources to support quality outcomes, patient safety, and operational efficiency. Promote staff development, coaching, and a culture of mutual respect, learning, and accountability. Support recruitment, onboarding, engagement, and retention by fostering a supportive environment. Use performance and quality metrics to guide improvements and maintain compliance. Champion evidence-based practice and quality improvement initiatives within the unit.

Required Qualifications Education:

BSN required; or ADN with MSN; or BA with MSN.

Licensure:

Active, unrestricted RN license in North Carolina (eNLC compact eligibility may apply; confirm with the state board).

Certifications:

BLS (Healthcare Provider) required.

Specialty Certification:

National certification in specialty area (clinical or leadership) required within 1 year of accepting the role (or within 1 year of graduation for those actively pursuing a degree).

Experience:

Minimum 5 years of recent nursing experience, including at least 2 years of relevant acute care hospital experience with demonstrated leadership (e.g., charge nurse and/or manager).

Clinical Background:

Post-cardiothoracic experience required. Preferred Qualifications Master's Degree in Nursing Prior formal nursing leadership experience
