Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Residential Nurse Supervisor to lead and coordinate nursing care within our Substance Abuse Low Intensity Residential Program as well as group home settings.. In this vital role, you will oversee daily clinical operations, ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, and foster a supportive environment for residents and staff alike. Your leadership will directly impact the quality of life for residents, ensuring they receive personalized, safe, and effective care. This position offers an exciting opportunity to utilize your extensive nursing expertise and supervisory skills to make a meaningful difference in our community. Duties Supervise and mentor nursing staff, including LPNs, ensuring high standards of patient care and adherence to nursing policies. Oversee resident assessments, develop individualized care plans, and monitor ongoing health status using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as WELLSKY Coordinate clinical activities including medication administration, wound management, and vital signs monitoring. Ensure compliance with all state healthcare regulations, HIPAA privacy standards, and long-term care regulations while maintaining accurate medical documentation. Train medication administration to paraprofessionals, conduct performance evaluations, and facilitate team management meetings to promote a collaborative work environment. Lead discharge planning, case management efforts, and coordinate with physicians for diagnostic evaluations such as lab tests or medical imaging. Participate in quality assurance initiatives like utilization review, infection control protocols, and ensuring nursing policy compliance. Requirements Valid RN (Registered Nurse) license with current state licensure. Extensive facility experience with licensed facilities overseen by NC DHHS Proven supervisory experience managing nursing teams in long-term care, assisted living, or hospital settings. Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as WELLSKY; strong medical documentation skills. Knowledge of medical terminology, mental health, I/DD and SUD populations Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia care is highly desirable. Ability to perform physical examinations, sterile techniques, and basic life support (BLS). Strong understanding of healthcare regulations including HIPAA and long-term care regulations; familiarity with Medicare/Medicaid standards is a plus. Excellent communication skills for managerial coordination and patient assessment; ability to lead a team effectively in a fast-paced environment.
