This is an opportunity for a collaborative, emotionally intelligent nurse leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to help shape how care is delivered. Why Medicine II? This isn't your traditional medical-surgical unit. Medicine II serves as an Innovation Unit, providing the opportunity to help launch new programs, gather frontline feedback, and bring new technology into clinical practice. Current and planned innovations include digital patient-room technology and tools designed to support clinical documentation and workflow. Previous leadership or Assistant Nurse Manager experience is preferred.
What We're Looking For:
Education:
4 Year / Bachelors Degree, required. BSN, preferred. Graduate Degree, preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of two years of clinical RN experience, preferred. Prior demonstrated nursing leadership, preferred.
Licensure/Certification:
Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required. NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions (facility specific) within 3 months of hire for Emergency Departments and Behavioral Health units, required. Unit/Dept Specific Required Certifications. Additional Skills (required): Successful completion of generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing. Ability to successfully complete Leader Education & Training.
What You'll Do:
Provide frontline leadership and support for nursing team member through partnership with the Nurse Manager Support patient safety, quality initiatives, rounding, admissions and discharges Address patient concerns and support service recovery Coach team members and navigate difficult conversations Identify team needs and proactively step in to close gaps Help launch and evaluate new clinical technologies and workflows Support quality initiatives involving areas such as Foley catheters and central lines Promote a positive, accountable, and collaborative team environment
