Full Job Description Schedule:
Weekends, 6:30A- 7P, rotating admin call
- 36hrs (weekend incentive) At Children's, the region's only full-service pediatric healthcare center, our people make us the very best for kids.
CLINICAL OPERATIONS
- Leads and supervises the daily clinical operational activities of the unit to ensure that quality care is delivered efficiently to include: Managing patient flow Overseeing the delivery of patient care and coordinating admissions, discharges, transfers and responding to unforeseen events adjusting patient assignments, as needed.
PEOPLE LEADERSHIP
- Supervises nursing staff including, but not limited to, recruitment, hiring, merit recommendations, promotions, transfers, schedules, disciplinary action, performance evaluation (introductory and annual), orientation, and development.
COMMUNICATION
- Maintains an environment of trust, fairness, consistency, and confidentiality with team members and with internal and external customers.
- Supports the delivery of quality patient care by holding staff accountable to established patient care and regulatory standards.
Outpatient/procedural:
Measures and contributes to improvement in patient access, cycle times, and patient wait times. Implements area specific policies and practice guidelines in accordance with Children's policy and regulatory standards using standardized tools and instruments. Holds self and others accountable for behaviors that are drivers of quality improvement. Completes audits of practice as defined by unit/organizational quality plan. Identifies, facilitates, and participates in Quality Improvement projects that enhance patient care, organizational outcomes, and/or patient satisfaction. Supports development and implementation of protocols for practice based on evidence Educates staff and monitors compliance of staff in cohort; elevates non-compliance issues. Collects data on trials for new products and provides "in the moment" education on new product implementation.BUILDING

- Registered Nurse
- State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure Current and valid Nebraska RN license/RN Compact license Upon Hire Required and BLS
- Basic Life Support Current and valid Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association Upon Hire Required and PALS
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support Current and valid certification in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 180 Days Required and ACLS Current and valid Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required (ED and CCU only) within 180 Days Required and NRP
- Neonatal Resuscitation Current and valid certification in Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) required (NICU only).
