3p-11p Monday-Friday Weekend on call rotation Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a 3-11 Nurse Supervisor, where you will lead and coordinate nursing operations during evening shift, ensuring exceptional patient care and smooth facility functioning. Duties Supervise nursing staff during evening shift, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback to ensure optimal patient care delivery. Coordinate patient assessments, vital signs monitoring, medication administration, and medical documentation in accordance with hospital protocols and EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner. Oversee clinical procedures including IV insertion, catheter care, sterile technique, airway management, and tube feeding to maintain safety and compliance standards. Ensure adherence to HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols while managing patient records, medical imaging reports, laboratory results, and medical documentation. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to facilitate discharge planning, case management, utilization review, and coordination of specialty services such as cardiology or behavioral health. Respond promptly to emergency situations including acute pain management or airway issues; coordinate with emergency medicine or ICU teams as needed. Maintain a safe environment by conducting safety audits, ensuring proper use of equipment like ventilators or neonatal ventilators, and supervising sterile processing procedures. Skills Proven leadership experience supervising nursing teams in acute care settings such as hospitals or long-term care facilities. Extensive knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD-10/ICD-9 coding, CPT coding, and DRG systems for accurate documentation and billing. Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth or eClinicalWorks for efficient patient record management. Strong clinical skills including patient assessment, vital signs monitoring, phlebotomy, injection administration, specimen collection/processing, and basic life support certification. Experience working with diverse populations such as geriatrics (memory/dementia care), behavioral health patients or individuals with disabilities. Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate staff while ensuring compliance.
