Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Nurse Manager to lead our nursing team within a dynamic healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive clinical expertise, and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care. As the Clinical Nurse Manager, you will oversee daily nursing operations, ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, and foster a collaborative team culture focused on quality and safety. Duties Provide leadership and supervision to nursing staff, promoting professional development and team cohesion. Oversee patient care delivery across multiple units, ensuring adherence to clinical standards and best practices. Coordinate staffing schedules, manage resource allocation, and optimize workflow efficiency. Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations including HIPAA, state healthcare laws, and long-term care regulations. Facilitate staff training on EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Epic or Cerner to enhance documentation accuracy. Monitor clinical outcomes through patient assessments, vital signs monitoring, and physiological evaluations. Lead quality improvement initiatives focused on patient safety, infection control, and regulatory standards such as NCQA standards. Manage incident reports, conduct root cause analyses, and implement corrective actions to improve patient care processes. Requirements Valid RN (Registered Nurse) licensure with current state registration; BSN preferred. Extensive clinical experience in critical care settings such as ICU or Level I/II trauma centers; experience in emergency medicine or hospital medicine is highly desirable. Proven management experience supervising nursing teams within acute or long-term care environments. Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth; familiarity with
ICD-9/ICD-10
coding is essential. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic evaluation techniques. Experience working with diverse patient populations including geriatrics, pediatrics (including neonatal ventilator management), and individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia care needs. Ability to perform complex medical procedures such as IV insertion, catheterization, tube feeding management, ventilator support, and sterile techniques. Excellent communication skills for managerial coordination and interdisciplinary collaboration; adept at managing care facility teams effectively. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards; experience with medical imaging or laboratory procedures is advantageous.
