Job Description

Shore Pointe Care Center is looking to hire a experienced, reliable and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurses ( LPN) or Registered Nurses (RN) to join our growing team. The Night Shift Nursing Supervisor in a nursing home is responsible for overseeing nursing staff and ensuring the quality of resident care during the night shift - from 11pm-7am. They assess resident conditions, monitor staff performance, and manage potential disciplinary concerns.
Responsibilities:
Resident Care:
Assesses residents' conditions, administers medications and treatments, and documents care services.
Staff Supervision:
Supervises and directs nursing staff (RNs, LPNs, CNAs), assigns tasks, and evaluates performance.
Quality Assurance:
Ensures compliance with policies and procedures, monitors staff compliance with standards, and protects residents and staff from infection control concerns.
Communication:
Communicates with residents and families, answers questions, and addresses complaints.
Documentation:
Maintains documentation of resident care services, including charting and record audits.
Safety and Confidentiality:
Ensures a safe and clean environment, monitors confidential information processing, and protects resident confidentiality.
Training and Education:
Identifies staff learning needs and participates in shift-specific education and evaluation.
Problem Solving:
Addresses potential disciplinary concerns and manages staff diversions and potential incapacity. #IND123#
