Job Description
Position Summary Under the direction of the Provider, Practice Manager/Supervisor and/or Service Line Director coordinates general office activities and performs direct clinical care in a courteous, caring, and respectful manner. Is the point person for questions or concerns as it relates to patient intake, testing, ordering, medical supplies and other clinical responsibilities. In this role, the Charge Nurse assumes responsibility for nursing care and outcomes for patients utilizing the nursing process in collaboration with other members of the interdisciplinary care team.
Ability to create, maintain and support a high functioning team; establish and foster cooperative working relationships with staff and management; and function effectively as part of that team. Ability to honor commitments to the job and members of the team. Ability to speak constructively about co-workers and the organization. Ability to assume responsibility and accountability for job duties and organizational responsibilities. Ability to support company-wide efforts to improve and maintain a high level of patient/customer satisfaction as evidenced by (but not limited to) customer/patient satisfaction survey scores and other organizational and System's targets. Education Completion of formal coursework that is equivalent to a minimum of an associate's degree in nursing. Current and unrestricted New Jersey RN license. Current American Heart Association BLS certification required. Specialty specific certification a plus. Schedule I am looking for 1 night closing shift 12-8pm, 1 Saturday and/or Sunday 8am-2pm a month and openings 7:30am or 8am weekdays Monday-Friday Experience Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in an ambulatory care setting preferred. - Medical terminology, computer and keyboard skills required. (Microsoft Office--Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Proficiency in the use of an EMR preferred.
- Proven ability to manage a changing work environment as a result of changing patient needs, including working with patients with acute, chronic, and complex disease processes.
