Position Overview:
Recovery Centers of America (RCA) is seeking a dedicated Nurse Manager to lead and support our nursing team at our Raritan Bay facility. Under the supervision of the Director of Nursing, you will oversee and mentor the nursing staff, ensuring high-quality clinical outcomes, staff development, and compliance with operational standards. Key Responsibilities:
Staff Supervision & Mentorship:
Provide direct supervision, coaching, and evaluation of all nursing staff. Ensure staff are well-educated on clinical, operational, and technological aspects of their roles.
Training & Development:
Design and implement clinical, operational, and technological training sessions. Conduct ongoing assessments and create individualized training plans for staff development.
Quality Assurance:
Ensure high-quality patient care through chart audits, incident report reviews, and oversight of nursing practices. Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and quality expectations set by accreditors.
Collaboration:
Work closely with the Director of Nursing and the leadership team to develop and execute training initiatives, emergency response plans, and infection control protocols.
Patient & Family Engagement:
Promote individualized, person-centered care by interacting with patients, families, and clinical teams to support recovery-oriented treatment.
Administrative Support:
Manage employee schedules, payroll, and assist in the onboarding of new staff members. Ensure all training events are completed on time and within budget.
Qualifications:
Licensure:
Active state licensure as a
Registered Nurse Experience:
Minimum of two years in behavioral health or substance use disorder treatment preferred.
Certifications:
CPR or BLS certification required (must be obtained during orientation), with additional certifications (such as CARN) preferred.
Specialized Skills:
Familiarity with Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, ASAM criteria, trauma-informed care, and treatment planning is highly desirable.
Technology Proficiency:
Experience with electronic medical records and Microsoft Office products is preferred.
Other Skills:
Strong organizational, communication, and planning skills. Ability to assess and intervene in patient care situations and administer medications safely. •A former patient may not be hired at the same location where they were treated until a minimum of one year has elapsed since the completion of their treatment at that location. Former patients may be considered for employment at locations within RCA other than where they were treated within a year after treatment. NURSMGR Compensation:
