Rapid start available AMX Healthcare is hiring experienced Registered Nurse Supervisors for 13-week contract opportunities at a respected nursing and rehabilitation facility in Arverne, New York. Morning, evening, and overnight schedules are available. This position is ideal for an RN with strong leadership skills and experience supervising nursing operations within a skilled nursing or long-term care environment.
Available Schedules Morning shift:
7:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.
Evening shift:
3:00 p.m.-11:00 p.m.
Overnight shift:
11:00 p.m.-7:00 a.m. Every-other-weekend availability is required. Responsibilities Supervise nursing staff and oversee resident care throughout the assigned shift. Coordinate assignments and ensure appropriate coverage across nursing units. Monitor residents for changes in condition and ensure appropriate interventions. Respond to emergencies, incidents, and clinical concerns. Review medication administration, treatments, assessments, and documentation. Assist with admissions, transfers, discharges, and hospital returns. Communicate with physicians, families, nursing leadership, and interdisciplinary teams. Provide clinical guidance and support to RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and other care staff. Complete incident reports and ensure proper follow-up. Promote compliance with infection-control, safety, and facility procedures. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation. Support a respectful, professional, and resident-centered care environment. Requirements Active New York State RN license in good standing. Previous nursing-supervision or leadership experience preferred. Skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or long-term care experience strongly preferred. Current CPR or BLS certification. Current physical and tuberculosis screening. Strong clinical judgment, leadership, communication, and documentation skills. Ability to work the complete selected shift and every other weekend. Dependable attendance and ability to complete onboarding requirements promptly. What We Offer $64.00 per hour. Weekly direct deposit. Morning, evening, and overnight schedules.
