Job Description

The Nursing Supervisor is responsible for coordinating the delivery for patient care through communication, resource coordination, personnel development, and data collecting/reporting during evening, night, and weekend shifts. Participates in intra- and interdepartmental planning when changes relate to these shifts. Nursing Supervisor oversees and interfaces with patients, staff and physicians and is the acting administrator on off hours.
Education:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. BS and/or MS in nursing strongly preferred
Experience:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required. Minimum of three years clinical nursing experience and one year management experience preferred. Membership in a professional organization suggested.
Training/License:
NYS Registered Nurse license required
