Key Responsibilities Implement and evaluate nursing programs and activities Provide staff education and participate in disciplinary actions Evaluate clinical skills and guide head nurses Ensure proper documentation and promote cost containment Participate in surveys and report findings to leadership Maintain open communication with staff, residents, and families Education & Experience Current NY State RN license Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred 3-5 years progressive clinical nursing experience, including supervision Minimum 1 year in a nursing home supervisory role Strong communication and interpersonal skills Knowledge of federal/state regulations and nursing standards Long-term care experience a plus Physical Demands Frequent standing, walking, reaching, stooping, and lifting Ability to lift/carry:
Light Work:
Up to 20 lbs frequently
Medium Work:
Up to 50 lbs occasionally Manual dexterity for typing, filing, and patient care tasks Visual acuity for reading charts and monitoring residents Hearing and speaking clearly for communication Non-Physical Demands Strong reasoning and problem-solving skills Ability to analyze, organize, and implement care plans Effective leadership and decision-making under pressure Capacity to manage multiple priorities and maintain compliance Professional demeanor and ability to work collaboratively The RN Supervisor assists the Chief Nursing Officer in managing nursing operations to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations and standards of practice, delivering high-quality care to residents.
