- Long Term Care
Pay Rate:
$50.00+ per hour- Night Shift 26 week contract!
Position Overview:
Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of RNs, LPNs/LVNs, nursing assistants, and other clinical staff. Assign patient care duties and ensure appropriate staffing and coverage. Monitor patient care, assess clinical needs, and assist staff with complex situations. Ensure compliance with nursing standards, facility policies, and applicable regulations. Review and maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation. Administer or oversee medications and treatments as appropriate. Respond to emergencies and provide clinical leadership during critical situations. Communicate with physicians, patients, families, and interdisciplinary care teams. Conduct staff training, orientation, coaching, and performance evaluations. Monitor infection prevention, patient safety, and quality-improvement initiatives. Investigate incidents, complaints, and changes in patient condition and take appropriate action. Participate in scheduling, staffing, audits, care-plan reviews, and other administrative functions. Serve as a nursing leader and resource for staff during assigned shifts. Requirements Current and valid NY State RN license. Minimum of 1 year experience in long-term care supervision. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Strong clinical skills and attention to detail. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team. Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care delivery.
