  • The Assistant Nurse Manager is accountable for supporting standards of care and providing consultation and expertise in the delivery of patient care.
+ The Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) is involved in activities at the unit, service, nursing department, and institutional level. + The ANM contributes to goal achievement through personal action andthe facilitation of others. He/she participates in community and professional organizations, demonstratingcommitment to the promotion of nursing's visibility and future. + The ANM provides expertpatient care, serves as a resource, consults as requested, and role models communication effectively in all situations. He/she also participates in the management of human resources, the development and evaluation ofrecruitment and retention strategies, and the monitoring of patient and operational outcomes. + The focus of the ANM responsibilities reflects the expectations for appointment at unit, program, or service level. + The ANM assumes expanded functional roles within the nursing unit as assigned by the Nurse Manager to include, but not limited to: Education, Orientation, Precepting, Quality Management and Improvement, Business Operations, Safety, Standards Development and Recruitment and Retention efforts. + The ANM may assume an expanded unit role as available and assigned by NurseManager.

  • $95,160-$124,113 _The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations._

  • Job Requirements:
  • 1.
  • Education:
  • BSN, or a minimum of 6 credits earned toward a BSN, or certification in Ambulatory Nursing, or a service-specific specialty certification, or AHA instructor certification required. 2.
  • Experience (minimum required):
  • 3-5 years as RN expertise in ambulatory or acute care setting. 3.
  • License/Certification Required:
  • current NYS RN license, current CPR certification (American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers) or RQI (Resuscitation Quality Improvement) 4.
  • Skills (to include equipment, software, etc.):
  • Ability to work well with a diverse patient population. Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced, environment. Effective interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to work collaboratively and courteously with others. Computer literacy is essential.
