up to $225,000 + Excellent Benefits A large, well-established healthcare network with multiple skilled nursing facilities is seeking an experienced Vice President of Clinical Services to provide executive clinical leadership across three Long Island locations in Long Beach, West Babylon, and Huntington . This is an excellent opportunity for a proven nursing executive with extensive skilled nursing and long-term care leadership experience who is ready to oversee clinical operations across multiple facilities. The ideal candidate must have strong prior experience as a Director of Nursing Services (DNS/DON) in a skilled nursing or long-term care facility. Position Overview The Vice President of Clinical Services will provide strategic and operational leadership for clinical services across three skilled nursing facilities. This individual will work closely with facility leadership and executive management to ensure the highest standards of resident care, clinical quality, regulatory compliance, and nursing performance. The successful candidate will be an experienced, hands-on clinical leader with a strong understanding of skilled nursing operations, nursing administration, regulatory compliance, quality improvement, MDS, Medicare, and clinical staff development. Key Responsibilities Provide executive leadership and oversight for clinical services across three skilled nursing facilities . Partner with facility Administrators, Directors of Nursing, and nursing leadership to establish and maintain high standards of clinical care. Develop and implement strategic clinical initiatives designed to improve resident outcomes, quality of care, and operational performance . Monitor clinical operations and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Establish, implement, and maintain clinical policies and procedures in accordance with applicable Federal and New York State regulations . Ensure compliance with CMS, Medicare/Medicaid, New York State Department of Health, HIPAA, and other applicable regulatory requirements . Provide leadership and mentorship to Directors of Nursing and other clinical leaders. Promote strong nursing leadership, accountability, staff development, and employee engagement. Monitor quality measures, survey readiness, clinical outcomes, and regulatory compliance across all facilities. Oversee clinical documentation, medical records, and processes related to accurate and compliant resident care documentation. Provide oversight and support for MDS coordination and Medicare-related clinical processes . Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve resident care and overall clinical outcomes. Develop and implement innovative programs that enhance the resident experience while maintaining clinical and operational efficiency. Work closely with executive leadership to establish organizational goals and clinical priorities. Assist facilities in preparing for regulatory surveys, audits, and inspections. Analyze clinical data and performance metrics and develop action plans when improvement is needed. Foster a culture of professionalism, teamwork, accountability, and excellence across all clinical departments. Qualifications Registered Nurse (RN) required. Extensive nursing leadership experience in a skilled nursing/long-term care environment . Strong prior experience as a Director of Nursing Services (DNS/DON) in a skilled nursing facility is required. Proven experience overseeing complex clinical operations and nursing teams. Multi-facility leadership experience strongly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of skilled nursing regulations, CMS requirements, Medicare, Medicaid, HIPAA, and New York State Department of Health regulations . Strong understanding of clinical quality, regulatory compliance, and performance improvement. Experience with MDS and Medicare processes . Strong knowledge of medical records and clinical documentation. Exceptional leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to mentor, develop, and hold clinical leaders accountable. Ability to work effectively with executive leadership, Administrators, DONs, physicians, residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams. Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and clinical nursing practices. Preferred Experience Multi-site skilled nursing leadership. Acute care or hospital leadership experience. Hospice and palliative care experience. Home health experience. Experience leading multidisciplinary clinical teams. Experience with quality improvement initiatives and regulatory survey preparation.
