Job Description
The Charge Nurse is responsible for the smooth and efficient patient flow within the department. Delegates assignments and provides supervision for the support staff in accordance with their level of training and patient's acuity. Works in cooperation with medical providers to insure the quality of patient care. Works under the supervision of the Unit Manager to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and supervise patient care on a nursing unit. Creates an environment that supports the nursing professional practice model. Contributes to the mission and goals of Holzer Health System as well as meeting the requirements of corporate compliance, TJC, and other regulatory or accrediting agencies. May be required to take patient assignment depending on staffing situations and acuity.
- Minimum of 2 years nursing experience with demonstrated leadership and clinical skills recommended
- Active RN License recognized by the Ohio Board of Nursing
- BSN preferred either nursing or healthcare related.

- Recommended, unless required by Unit Manager
