Caprice Health Care Center is now hiring an experienced RN to fill the position of MDS Nurse/Unit Manager for our 75 bed facility! This is a Monday through Friday day shift (8am-4pm) position. Summary As an MDS Nurse at Caprice Health Care Center, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality of care for our residents through effective assessment and management processes. This RN position is essential for maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations while enhancing the overall resident experience. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive assessments of residents' needs and develop individualized care plans. Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations regarding patient care and documentation. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and optimize resident outcomes. Manage the MDS (Minimum Data Set) process to ensure accurate reporting and reimbursement. Review medical records for accuracy and completeness in accordance with standards. Provide training and support to staff on MDS-related processes and documentation requirements. Support quality measures, case-mix, PDPM, and survey readiness activities. Educate nursing staff and other team members on documentation standards and MDS-related requirements. Requirements Proven experience in utilization management or case management within a healthcare setting. Strong knowledge of ICD-10 coding and medical record standards. Familiarity with hospice care practices is a plus. Experience with electronic health record systems, particularly PCC, is preferred. Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Must be detail oriented with good organizational skills RN License is required.
