Mercy is seeking a Nurse Manager for our 7B Medical Telemetry unit to lead a team delivering high-quality, compassionate care. This role oversees daily nursing operations, staffing, and patient flow while ensuring adherence to clinical standards, telemetry protocols, and safety regulations. The Nurse Manager mentors and develops nurses, collaborates with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, and drives quality and performance initiatives. Responsibilities Oversee daily operations of the 7 B Medical Telemetry nursing unit, including staffing, assignments, and patient flow. Ensure high-quality, safe telemetry and medical care aligned with clinical protocols and regulatory standards. Supervise, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff, supporting professional growth and performance management. Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and discharge planning. Monitor unit metrics, implement quality and performance improvement initiatives, and track outcomes. Manage scheduling, productivity, and resource allocation to meet census and acuity needs. Promote a culture of compassion, diversity, and respect consistent with Mercy's mission and values. Ensure compliance with hospital policies, accreditation requirements, and patient safety initiatives. Engage in staff education, onboarding, and competency validation for telemetry and medical-surgical practices. Participate in strategic planning and implementation of clinical innovations and best practices on the unit.
