POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 3 years supervisory experience, preferably in senior adult care Demonstrated leadership ability with a history of developing a cohesive team Must have a current and valid RN license in the state of Oklahoma Must possess an attitude for decision-making with strong interpersonal skills Knowledge of regulations impacting long-term care facilities Strong knowledge of state and federal regulations Exhibits maturity and the ability to deal efficiently and professionally with residents, families, and team members
PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONS
The Director of Health Services will plan, organize, develop, and direct the overall operations of the nursing services department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern the facility and as directed by the Administrator and the Medical Director to ensure the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times. Must have good interpersonal and communication skills Oversees all resident care provided by the Health Center daily and ensures effective and efficient daily operations and functions Ensures compliance with state and federal regulations
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensures admission paperwork and assessments are completed accurately Oversees documentation completion and accuracy Scheduling Initiates a comprehensive care plan and participates in resident care conferences Educates support personnel in appropriate nursing care Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing assistants in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the long-term care facility. Consistent and thorough communication with the Director of Nursing to relay pertinent information regarding weekend activity Oversees daily resident care Ensures that physicians' orders are followed and carried out in a timely and accurate manner Completes reports as needed Adheres to and oversees safety and infection control regulations Performs other duties as assigned Working Requirements Office environment within a healthcare facility Must possess adequate sight and hearing, with or without assistive devices, to meet job requirements. Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, reach, talk, and hear. Occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, taste, or smell. Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
