JOB SUMMARY
Clinical Manager is responsible for the operational management of hospice. Implicit in this statement is indicated responsibility for the supervision, direction, education, and support of the nursing staff in the hospice department. Demonstrates leadership ability and serves as a role model for clinical practice.
QUALIFICATIONS
Registered nurse in the State with current licensure to practice professional nursing in the State. Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited program by the National League for Nursing preferred. Three years of management experience in a hospice or related health care organization preferred. Demonstrated ability to supervise and direct professional and administrative personnel. Ability to market and deal tactfully with customers and the community. Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state and/or Organization requirements and is in good working order. Has excellent observation, verbal, and written communication skills. Knowledge of business management, governmental regulations and accreditation standards.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must have adequate perception of sounds or adequate hearing with corrections. Must be able to communicate with others in person and over the telephone. Adequate vision, or correctible with with glasses/contacts, to prepare reports and read written materials. Work is primarily sedentary in nature, with some standing and walking. Fine motor skills and hand/eye coordination to operate office machines. Lifting and moving heavy objects, up to 60lbs. Computer knowledge and skills to include Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
