Extensive travel throughout assigned facilities Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Regional Clinical Consultant (RN) to provide clinical leadership, regulatory oversight, and operational support across multiple skilled nursing and long-term care facilities throughout Pennsylvania. This role partners closely with Administrators, Directors of Nursing, and interdisciplinary teams to drive quality outcomes, ensure regulatory compliance, and support facility performance improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate is a hands-on nursing leader with multi-site experience, strong knowledge of skilled nursing regulations, and a proven track record of improving clinical and operational outcomes. Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Leadership & Operations Provide clinical oversight and support for assigned skilled nursing facilities. Partner with facility leadership to improve clinical outcomes, resident care, and operational performance. Monitor, evaluate, and support day-to-day nursing operations. Assist facilities with clinical problem-solving, planning, and performance management. Regulatory Compliance & Survey Readiness Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company regulatory requirements. Conduct routine audits of resident records, medication rooms, infection prevention practices, and clinical documentation. Review eMAR reports and incident reports for accuracy and compliance. Support facilities in survey preparation and corrective action planning. Quality Improvement Monitor and improve quality metrics related to: Infection prevention and control Medication management Wound care and pressure injury prevention Resident safety and outcomes Collaborate with facility teams to implement performance improvement initiatives. Conduct resident assessments and clinical reviews as needed. Facility Support & Clinical Stabilization Provide on-site support to new, transitioning, or underperforming facilities. Identify clinical and operational gaps and implement corrective action plans. Drive implementation of best practices, policies, and procedures across facilities. Promote consistency in clinical standards and care delivery. Staff Development & Mentorship Coach, mentor, and support Directors of Nursing and nursing leadership teams. Assist with staff training, onboarding, and competency development. Support workforce engagement, retention, and accountability initiatives. Promote a culture of clinical excellence and continuous improvement. Administrative Responsibilities Participate in leadership meetings and interdisciplinary care conferences. Monitor supply utilization and support inventory management processes. Build positive relationships with residents, families, physicians, and staff. Assist with issue resolution and escalation management as needed. QualificationsRequired Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Active, unrestricted RN license in Pennsylvania or a Compact State. Minimum 5 years of leadership experience within Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNF) or Long-Term Care (LTC). Experience providing oversight for multiple facilities or regions. Strong knowledge of CMS regulations, survey processes, and long-term care clinical operations. Demonstrated success improving quality and operational performance metrics. Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively. Excellent leadership, communication, and clinical decision-making skills. Preferred Prior experience as a Regional Clinical Consultant, Regional Director of Clinical Services, Multi-Facility DON, or comparable leadership role. Experience supporting facility turnaround, clinical stabilization, or survey recovery initiatives. Wound care, infection prevention, or quality improvement expertise.
