Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Restorative Nurse Manager LPN to lead our restorative care team within a vibrant long-term care or assisted living environment. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the delivery of high-quality restorative nursing services, ensuring residents regain and maintain their optimal functional abilities. Duties Lead and supervise the restorative nursing team, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations to ensure excellence in resident care. Develop and implement individualized restorative care plans based on comprehensive assessments, utilizing skills in physical examinations, vital signs monitoring, and functional evaluations. Coordinate interdisciplinary collaboration with therapists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to optimize resident outcomes. Oversee documentation of medical records, ensuring accurate recording of medical terminology, ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases), and compliance with HIPAA regulations. Manage daily operations including intake assessments, discharge planning, and medication administration while maintaining adherence to nursing policy standards. Conduct regular staff training on infection control protocols, sterile processing techniques, aseptic procedures, and emergency response procedures such as airway management and ventilator use. Ensure compliance with long-term care regulations and state healthcare laws while maintaining high standards of patient care through quality assurance audits. Requirements Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with current registration and certification. Proven leadership experience in nursing management within long-term care, geriatrics, or assisted living settings. Extensive knowledge of medical documentation systems such as EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Cerner or Athenahealth; experience working with EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems preferred. Critical care experience including ICU or emergency medicine background is highly desirable; familiarity with Level I & II trauma center protocols is a plus. Strong understanding of physical assessments, physiology knowledge, and diagnostic evaluation techniques relevant to elderly or disabled populations. Proficiency in IV infusion, venipuncture (phlebotomy), catheter care, tube feeding management, and basic life support certification required. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia care is preferred; knowledge of behavioral health principles beneficial. Excellent managerial communication skills to effectively supervise teams and coordinate with multidisciplinary staff while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and long-term care regulations.
