Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Nurse Practitioner - Clinical Manager to lead and oversee comprehensive patient care services within a multidisciplinary healthcare setting. Duties Provide advanced nursing care through comprehensive patient assessments, diagnosis, treatment planning, and management across diverse clinical settings including acute, long-term, and community care environments. Lead and supervise nursing staff and interdisciplinary teams to ensure adherence to clinical policies, safety protocols, and regulatory standards such as HIPAA and state healthcare regulations. Oversee daily operations of the medical office or clinic, including scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow optimization using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Epic or Cerner. Coordinate discharge planning, case management, and utilization review processes to enhance patient care continuity and optimize resource utilization. Conduct quality assurance activities such as medical documentation audits, medical records review, and compliance with NCQA standards. Facilitate staff training on topics like infection control, sterile processing techniques, IV insertion, catheter care, medication administration, and emergency procedures including airway management and ventilator use. Collaborate with physicians, specialists in critical care or geriatrics, behavioral health professionals, and other healthcare providers to develop individualized care plans for patients with complex needs such as dementia or developmental disabilities. Ensure proper documentation of medical procedures including ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), DRG (Diagnosis-Related Group) coding, and accurate recording of vital signs and medical history. Experience Proven nurse management experience with a strong background in clinical leadership within hospital medicine, ICU (Intensive Care Unit), trauma centers (Level I & II), or emergency medicine environments. Extensive hands-on experience in critical care settings such as ICU or PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), including ventilator management and cardiac catheterization procedures. Demonstrated expertise working with diverse populations including seniors in long-term care or assisted living facilities; familiarity with dementia care and memory support is highly desirable. Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth or eClinicalWorks; experience utilizing these platforms for documentation, order entry, and utilization management. Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to acute pain management, gastrostomy feeding tube care, phlebotomy/venipuncture techniques, sterile processing protocols, and specimen collection/processing. Familiarity with hospital policies on HIPAA compliance, infection control practices, long-term care regulations, and nursing policy adherence. Experience supervising nursing teams in fast-paced environments requiring excellent managerial communication skills; ability to lead quality improvement initiatives aligned with NCQA standards.
