Summary:

+ The responsibilities of the Assistant Nurse Manager include, but are not limited to coordination of all activities within the unit of employment. This includes collaboration with the Nurse Manager, Clinical Nurse Specialist, Patient and Guest Relations, Regulatory, Infection Control, Pharmacy and the Lab to manage all aspects of patient care, utilization of department personnel, fiscal responsibility and material resources.

Responsibilities:

+ Patient care: development of policies and procedures, assists with development of education, participates in clinical care. +

Communication:

positive and effective interpersonal relations with all members of the team, proactive in responses to allqueries, in a timely manner, mentors new staff and exhibits leadership in problem solving, partners with Patient and Guest Relations to resolve patient concerns as needed. +

Credentialing:

manages license and certification process for staff in conjunction with Nurse Manager and/or Clinical Practice leads as needed.

+ Fiscal management: aware of the financial needs of the service, designs and implements actions to maintain fiscal responsibility of the unit, identifies scheduling conflicts and resolves proactively, reviews inventory levels with materials management, manages payroll, scheduling and timekeeping process for designated area as needed.

+ Partners with Nurse Manager for administration of Employee Relations matters as needed.

+ As Assistant Nuse Manager, the role will also be responsible for all the Nurse Manager responsibilities, all of which are described above.

Credentials:

+ Registered Nurse - PA (Required)

Education or Equivalent Experience:

+ Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Required)

+ And 3+ years 3 years of progressive nursing experience and demonstrated leadership skills

+ Master of Science in Nursing +

Education Specialization:
