RN/LPN Unit Manager

Job Description

RN/LPN Unit Manager — Monday-Friday, Day Shift Southwestern Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, a premier skilled nursing facility specializing in long-term care and short-term rehabilitation, is seeking a compassionate, experienced Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse to join our leadership team as a Unit Manager. What You'll Do As Unit Manager, you'll lead the day-to-day operations of your unit, ensuring residents receive high-quality, compassionate care.
Your responsibilities will include:
Leading Your Team — Supervise and mentor nursing staff, supporting their growth and professional development Delivering Resident-Centered Care — Apply the nursing process to assess and address residents' clinical and psychosocial needs, with thorough documentation Partnering Across Disciplines — Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to create personalized care plans Solving Problems Proactively — Use critical thinking to resolve clinical, social, and safety concerns as they arise Upholding Standards — Ensure compliance with medication administration, safety, and infection control protocols Driving Communication — Serve as a clear communication link between staff, residents, families, and care teams Coordinating Shift Transitions — Oversee smooth handoffs to maintain continuity of care Maintaining Accurate Records — Keep resident documentation complete, accurate, and compliant Engaging Families — Keep residents' families and responsible parties informed and address their concerns with care
What We're Looking For Qualifications:
Active, unencumbered RN/LPN license Extensive long-term care clinical experience preferred Prior leadership or administrative experience a plus
