This position supports efficient patient flow, quality patient care, and daily nursing operations while promoting a patient-centered approach. Position Summary The Day Surgery Charge RN will work closely with nursing leadership, clinical teams, and other healthcare professionals to support smooth admission and discharge processes. The role also contributes to quality improvement initiatives, staff engagement, scheduling, labor management, and the effective use of supplies and equipment. Key Responsibilities Provide hands-on nursing leadership within the day surgery unit. Support efficient patient admission and discharge processes. Promote safe, high-quality, patient-centered care. Participate in ongoing assessment and improvement of patient care services. Collaborate with managers, clinical experts, and healthcare team members to improve outcomes. Promote a positive patient experience and assist with service recovery when necessary. Support employee engagement initiatives, including employee rounding and hourly rounding. Assist with staff scheduling and labor management based on patient care needs and productivity guidelines. Help monitor inventory and manage supplies and equipment. Support daily operations while maintaining established nursing and quality standards.
