The Role We are seeking a dedicated, clinically skilled Charge Nurse (RN or LPN) to lead our nursing floor. Working predictable 12-hour shifts , you will serve as the clinical anchor for your unit. You'll oversee direct resident care, direct and mentor nursing assistants, collaborate with attending physicians, and serve as a vital link between our residents, their families, and our interdisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities Clinical Shift Leadership:
Direct day-to-day nursing activities on your unit during your 12-hour shift, ensuring high standards of care in compliance with state and federal long-term care regulations.
Medication & Treatment Administration:
Safely and accurately administer prescribed medications, treatments, and IV therapies according to physician orders.
Assessment & Monitoring:
Continuously assess resident health status, document clinical changes, and collaborate with physicians to update individualized care plans.
Team Support & Oversight:
Provide direct guidance, assignment delegation, and clinical mentorship to Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) on the floor.
Shift Handover & Documentation:
Facilitate comprehensive shift report handovers to ensure seamless continuity of care between 12-hour shifts.
Qualifications Licensure:
Active, unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the State of South Carolina (or a valid compact state license).
Certifications:
Current
CPR / BLS
certification required.
Experience:
Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF), Long-Term Care, or Rehabilitation setting is preferred. Recent graduates with a passion for senior care are welcome to apply!
