Job Description
Job Duties:
Sumter East Health & Rehabilitation Cente r is seeking an experienced and compassionate Unit Manager, RN / LPN- Full-time to lead and oversee daily clinical operations within our skilled nursing unit.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of nursing staff in a healthcare facility
- Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff, ensuring high-quality patient care
- Develop and implement nursing care plans based on patient needs and physician orders
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress, making adjustments to care plans as necessary
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, adhering to HIPAA regulations
- Provide education and training to nursing staff on medical terminology, Medicare guidelines, and care plan development
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and policies
Requirements:
- Valid nursing license (RN) or (LPN)
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in a supervisory role
- In-depth knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and hospice care
- Familiarity with Medicare guidelines and regulations
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop and implement effective care plans based on patient needs
- Proficient in using electronic medical record systems
