Director of Nursing Alcester Care & Rehab is seeking a caring and compassionate person for the Nurse Manager position. This individual directs the licensed and non-licensed staff who provide health care and nursing services to residents of the facility. Primary responsibility is to ensure the provision of quality nursing care on a 24-hour basis to the residents of the care center in accordance with Federal, State and Local standards and regulations. The position exists to plan, organize, and direct the activities of the nursing department to ensure the delivery of quality nursing care with the goal of facilitating the highest level of functioning and independence for each resident. Applicants must be able to work within a team, possess strong leadership skills, and be self-motivated. Applicant must also have excellent communication and verbal skills relating to administration: Develop and implement nursing service objectives, policies, and procedures to maintain a high quality of care amongst residents. Determines staffing levels and monitors for adequate provision of nursing care. Oversees administrative functions in Nursing Department. Develops educational programs within the nursing department to promote staff development. Maintains an effective quality assurance program. Abide by State/Federal rules and regulations.
