The Nurse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing nursing staff, ensuring high-quality resident care, and maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations. This role plays a key part in day-to-day clinical operations, staff support, and resident safety within a long-term care and post-acute rehab environment. Full-Time Night 3pm-11pm 8 hour shifts Monday-Friday Some on-call to be expected. Duties Supervise and support nursing staff (LPNs, CNAs, and other care team members) during assigned shifts Ensure residents receive care in accordance with physician orders, care plans, and facility policies Conduct routine rounds to monitor resident condition, staffing needs, and quality of care Serve as a clinical resource for staff, providing guidance, coaching, and problem-solving support Respond to changes in resident condition and coordinate appropriate interventions Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers, including documentation and assessments Ensure compliance with CMS regulations, state guidelines, and survey readiness standards Monitor documentation for accuracy, timeliness, and regulatory compliance Address resident and family concerns in a professional and compassionate manner Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members including therapy, social services, and providers Participate in incident investigations, audits, and quality improvement initiatives Step in to provide direct resident care when needed to support staffing and resident needs Experience and Qualifications Required Active RN license in good standing (state-specific) Minimum 1-2 years of Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or long-term care experience required Prior supervisory experience preferred Strong knowledge of long-term care regulations, resident rights, and survey processes Ability to lead, motivate, and support a diverse nursing team Excellent communication, organization, and critical-thinking skills Ability to work in a fast-paced SNF environment and manage multiple priorities CPR certification (or willingness to obtain) Experience and Qualifications Preferred Experience with post-acute rehab, Medicare/Medicaid residents, and long-term care populations Familiarity with electronic medical records used in SNF settings Strong understanding of infection control and quality assurance practices
