Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Nurse Manager to lead our Pediatric Nursing Team and laboratory operations, dedicated to providing exceptional care for our families. Responsibilities Lead and supervise the pediatric nursing team, including licensed practical nurses, and medical assistants, ensuring optimal team performance and patient care delivery. Applying standards of care/practice while enforcing policies and procedures. Working with the team and leadership to ensure clinic compliance in
HIPPA, CLIA, VFC
program, OSHA and emergency response. Leading and sustaining improvement efforts around efficiency and health outcomes. Planning and facilitating clinic patient flow processes. Create goals and objectives for the department and conduct yearly reviews. Recruit and train nurses when needed. Keep and organize laboratory records. Improve the quality and efficiency of the level of care delivered to patients. Oversee the daily operations of the laboratory to ensure adherence to safety standards and protocols. Develop and implement laboratory policies, procedures and documentation to comply with CLIA and VFC standards. Maintain laboratory equipment and supplies. Complete patient forms. Answer patient phone and portal messages, and performs triage within scope of certification in an accurate and timely manner. Daily and weekly vaccine inventory, liaison with vaccine procurement company rep for issues that arise. Vaccine, medical supply and OTC medicine ordering. Perform patient ear cleaning and piercing. Other Aspects of the Position Knowledge and occasional coverage of processing patients on providers schedules. Patient intake and processing includes; Record patient's medical history accurately Take and record measurements of blood pressure, temperature, heart rate etc. Performs routine immunizations, visual and hearing acuity testing and assists with basic medical care tasks. Performs phlebotomy procedures for blood draws and send out lab testing when needed. Our practice participates in the Vaccines for Children (VFC) program. This position is the primary lead for the program and interacts with the state of Tennessee during site visits. Our practice is also a CLIA certified laboratory. Qualifications Current RN licensure with active state registration; Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required. At least 2 years proven leadership skills with supervising experience in a healthcare environment; ability to manage teams effectively while fostering professional development. Understanding of laboratory safety and regulatory requirements a plus. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for medical documentation and patient records management. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Pay:
$34.00 - $37.00 per hour
