JOB SUMMARY

Under general supervision of directors and in collaboration with all PAT managers; plans; organizes; directs and controls all activities involved in the effective; efficient; and economical utilization of material resources and personnel of the delegated specialty service; ensuring patient service is continuous and high quality. Responsible for orientation; training; and development of specialty service personnel. Responsible for assisting streamline PAT process across all facilities. Relates effectively with anesthesia and perinesthesia team members for continuity of care; maintains satisfactory relations with other departments and nursing units and participates in all phases of education; maintenance of records; and upgrading policies; procedures and skills of personnel. Registered Nurses have a professional obligation to participate in committee activities; surveys; and improvement initiatives. In addition; Registered Nurses must uphold the standards of the Texas Nurse Practice Act.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Education Bachelor's Degree Minimum Work Experience 2 years of Pre-Admission Testing (PAT) nursing experience Required Licenses/Certifications Registered Nurse Certified Ambulatory Perianesthesia Nurse (CAPA) certified within 12 months of hire in this position Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Required Skills; Knowledge; and Abilities Ability to direct others and negotiate for desired results Ability to work well as part of the leadership team Demonstrates decision-making and problem-solving skills Demonstrates excellent interpersonal and communication skills Clinical competency in PAT area Designated Driver No OSHA Category 1 - High Risk Save job Apply now
