The hospital provides rehabilitation care for patients recovering from disabling illnesses and injuries, including stroke, brain injury, neurological disorders, orthopedic conditions, spinal cord injury, amputations, and other complex rehabilitation diagnoses. The Director of Clinical Services/Nursing serves as the hospital's nurse executive and reports directly to the Hospital Administrator. This role is responsible for the direction and operation of nursing services throughout the hospital and plays an important role in clinical quality, staffing, performance improvement, and organizational leadership. Key Responsibilities Direct and oversee nursing services throughout the hospital. Establish nursing standards, policies, procedures, and staffing plans. Determine the appropriate types and number of nursing personnel needed to support patient care. Provide leadership and direction to nursing staff and Charge Nurses. Participate in hospital-wide performance improvement activities. Collaborate with hospital administration, physicians, and interdisciplinary clinical teams. Participate in governing body, medical executive, and executive/management committee meetings. Support the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered rehabilitation care. Oversee additional hospital services as assigned by the Hospital Administrator. Qualifications Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas . Must have completed a graduate degree OR, at a minimum, be in the process of obtaining a Master's in Nursing or a Master's degree in a related healthcare field at the time of hire. Progressive nursing management experience. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work collaboratively with hospital leadership and interdisciplinary clinical teams.
